Planned contents¶

• Tier 1 — CPU-only laptop: exact pip versions, the reference model, and a verification script

• Tier 2 — single GPU (24 GB consumer, or cloud L4/A10G): driver and CUDA expectations

• Tier 3 — 2–4 GPUs rented hourly: which instance types, and roughly what a full ch17 reproduction costs

• scripts/verify-setup.py — run this before ch01 and it will tell you which tiers you can complete

• Pinned dependency table, with the date each pin was last verified

• Downloading model weights, and why none are committed to this repository
